I was trying to configure it in advance in the switch (using ODL rest
commands) in order to eliminate the necessity of switch - controller -
application communication and achieve a faster reaction. I think this is
exactly why these group actions exist.

Nevertheless, if you could share an example it may be useful has an
alternative. In relation to your example, how would you now that a
connection went down?
