I'm testing GnuGK behind a firewall and am wondering how many ports are
really required for H.323 video calls. The sample nat.ini lists these
port ranges:
Q931PortRange=30000-30999
H245PortRange=31000-31999
T120PortRange=50000-59999
RTPPortRange=50000-59999
However the GnuGK Manual lists these port ranges:
Q931PortRange=20000-20999
H245PortRange=30000-30999
T120PortRange=40000-40999
RTPPortRange=50000-59999
I would rather not leave thousands of ports open if it is unnecessary. I
will be dealing with schools which will be using fewer than 10 (probably
less than 5) video endpoints. Could someone please give me an idea of
how many ports in each range are actually required per video call?
Thank you!
