I agree that we need to find a least common denominator.  I don't know enough
about CORBAmed, so I will be very interested to hear others replies.

Yes, VistA (originally called DHCP) has been around for over 15 years.

I am confused about your question.  Are you suggesting they wasted their time on
VistA or are you asking why they keep showing up at conferences?

I seriously doubt the above as a possible reason.  I suspect it is to give
others a look at what they are doing and perhaps out of a bit of pride.  Mind
you I am taking a moderately educated guess, but I have never heard anyone talk
about a plan for VistA to take over the EMR world.
