Sorry, I should have said that this was the time taken the first time
the user ran the software in a session; after that it was much quicker.
I don't remember what it was, but the users are all business analysts
who (as you might know) are crazy coffee-fuelled human beings running at
2x normal speed as the rest of us. They had no problem with the system.
And also I know that I could have retuned the buffered down to say 1000
blocks of names, and gotten to less than a second even for the first
hit.... had anybody asked.
