I would agree if you said a) "_slows down_ innovation" sometimes
due to lack of 1) initial funding, 2) remunerations to be
expected or b) slows down (technical) exploitation of innovations
to their full potential (since it's not hot tech anymore the
really bright will move on).
However, there are people around in this world who "reinvent
slowliness". A notion that probably only those can afford to
pursue who do not need to worry about fulfilling basic needs
on a daily basis.
Done right, on the other hand, "reinventing slowliness" is
another approach to "reaching for sustainability".
