On meeting, I suggest that one area for open source medical 
software development to look at is things that facilitate keeping 
doctors and nurses in bed at night - IE networking notes, images, 
ECGs, conversation and so on around the globe so that when 
advice is needed it can come from a senior member of the team 
who is in working hours and in daylight.

I really would feel safer that way if I was a junior, or a senior, or
a patient.

Meeting?  Well, naturally there need to be acquainting meetings
between the groups that work 8000 miles apart but together, a bit 
like the mad hatters tea party with everyone moving 8000 miles to 
the left.
