Thanks for all the responses and posts to my inquiry.
Surprisingly it is taken as "my pain" I can assure you I am not and appreciate all of
your concern. But this is a PAIN for so many other physicians and what keeps IT and
OPEN HEALTH sources and forums from becoming the push they need to be to correct these
problems.

So long as the government and the insurers set arbitrary standards and all think that
they know best we will always be kept in the dark and forever correcting or trying to
figure out the ways to do things best. They love it this way, then we keep having to
buy their book of rules.

Open Health has lots to offer in terms of ideas but those ideas need to reach the
major vendors and sources of common IT for the majority of physician practices and to
adjust and deal with the governmental issues.

Hey, just at look how the AAFP is forging ahead with their project. Guess what, with
what I know about systems physicians will be slow to adopt and ARE slow to adopt EMR
and more likely to adopt BILLING and PM software first but the major thrust to get
people using systems will be the INTEGRATED systems, NO MATTER how good any one
individual stand alone EMR is.

I lurk on the Openhealth forum because I greatly appreciate a vast majority of the
discussions and theory. But I am a practical kind of guy and need to put things into
actual use and can't wait for projects that take years to develop.
The ideas on this board, help me stay ahead and introduce some concepts to my
colleagues.

Sincerely,
Falball
