Adrian,

This "reticence" is falsehood and breeds stagnation. Those who condone it
are at best intentionally ignorant. Seeing ill and standing silent is
contrary to most moral traditions.

All I can say is that you must have been hanging around a real bad crowd.
In free sofware circles, we don't keep silent when we see mistakes made.
Furthermore, when we are wrong, we appreciate someone pointing it out to
us.
