I wasn't able to get LiveOIO working on my son's PC - not enough memory perhaps (only 128MB), so I couldn't explore this directly. However, I found this explanation: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=17710&group_id=9295 and now understand the solution proposed. Basically, OIO "automatically" associates every form instance with a patient, and within the context of a particular patient, if the user wants to associate a form instance with other form instances, they need to manually choose the target of the association from a list. This list can be set up so that, in our example, only cancer cases for the patient in question are shown in the list. So if I were completing a "histology results" form for a patient with three cases of cancer, I would need to manually choose which case the histology results relate to when completing the form. Whether such an approach is adequate, or too awkward and error-prone to be useful, really depends on the circumstances, I suppose. -- Tim C PGP/GnuPG Key 1024D/EAF993D0 available from keyservers everywhere or at http://members.optushome.com.au/tchur/pubkey.asc Key fingerprint = 8C22 BF76 33BA B3B5 1D5B EB37 7891 46A9 EAF9 93D0
