Obviously I know that, but the sneaky question someone later posed was (if property is theft...) from whom was it stolen. This would be diverging from topic, except that we are discussing community or commonwealth goods here as FLOSS. Mr Gates I think would be firmly of the opinion that it has been taken from him, or one of his rich colleagues, or someone else who is not but could be making a profit from providing a subset of it until the market was saturated, then withdrawing and replacing it with something else. I do see scope for the Open Source movement in healthcare and the Creative Commons movement in knowledge distribution and management to converge and work together in medicine. I'm sure everyone else does as well and we probably don't need to do anything that doesn't come naturally about it. -- Adrian Midgley FLOSS regularly
