We are in the midst of implementing a CPOE project, and during some discussions with other folks on the project, the subject of "What are other health institutions out there using for the medical terminology/nomenclature?". The project we are implementing uses MULTUM (packaged by the vendor), and we also are potentially using SNOMED, and will be using the UMLS to correlate them all. Does this sound standard? What are other medical IT groups using for nomenclature?
