We can certainly have an earlier stable release depending on need and bug 
fixes that go into 2.11.x.

A good start would be to look at the current open bugs/features for the 
2.11 groups in sourceforge and start taking/asking for ownership and 
discussing.
Its important to use a tracker for bugs and features, so sourceforge is 
the place to keep a record of "goals" (in the form of features).
