I'm not the right person to answer, but it will probably help if you let people know which IPMI plugin you are using for this: The IPMI plugin (OpenIPMI) or ipmidirect. Also a note that the OpenIPMI plugin is not maintained right now, so you may be on your own in terms of making it work.
