Hi Lars,
I am using openhpi-2.15.1. In /var/log/messages there is no error message shown 
:(. Changing lines 541 and 1618 from WDT_GET to WTD_GET did not work for me. 
After the change entres is only showing Chassis entity path.

it looks like I was a little bit too fast.
I used an elder version of openhpid and saw the same issue - no FAN in the 
RDR.
The fix from below will only work with an openhpid version below the latest 
one.
Which version of openhpid did you use? 

To debug it by your own, have a look inside /var/log/messages. In case there 
is a parse error, you will find in which line it occurs.
