Hi Anton, Thanks for the response, suppose I call get_sensor_thresholds function of a plugin via a client program. If for each of my clients request plugin will contact the resource (here fan sensor) via the OA I have configured in Daemon configuration file or Daemon will respond to clients request from the information Daemon has saved/stored during last discovery.

Preeti, For every HPI API call you can consult with openhpid/safhpi.c file. If you see OH_CALL_ABI macro call or call function from handler ABI table, then it means the request is passed to plug-in. The functions that plug-in can support are described in include/oh_handler.h Anton Pak On Wed, 09 Mar 2011 21:59:18 +0300, Preeti Sharma <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > I have a general query when a client asks for a "event log" or "status" > of a resource to Daemon, does Daemon contacts resource to get the detail > or Daemon gives what it saved during last Discovery. > > Regards, > Preeti > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Colocation vs. Managed Hosting > A question and answer guide to determining the best fit > for your organization - today and in the future. > http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d > _______________________________________________ > Openhpi-devel mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openhpi-devel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ Openhpi-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openhpi-devel
