Hello Kevin,

You have found a bug.
You haven't called saHpiInitialize(), right?

Library is initialized on any HPI call save for saHpiFinalize().
And finalization call relied on the session table existence.

I created bug ticket 3536844 and fixed the issue in the svn trunk (rev.  
#7472).
