Hi Naveen, Hope it doesn't. Just my observations:
- I cannot find 2.1.4 on the OpenHPI site. 2.1.2 and 2.2.0 were released in 2005. - The error message was produced in saHpiRdrGet(). Seems your app tried to get RDR along with alarm. Btw, what app did you use for getting alarms? It could be that the issue is HP plug-in specific. Let's see what HP guys say. There were several bugfixes that can be relevant to the issue: #2798414 hpi_shell always reports "No alarms in DAT" event there is an alarm. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2798414&group_id=71730&atid=532251 #2782786 alarm is not removed from DAT https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2782786&group_id=71730&atid=532251 Anton Pak On Tue, 07 Aug 2012 12:56:11 +0300, Shivegowda, Naveen (NSN - IN/Bangalore) <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Anton, > > Does it mean that I cannot retrieve the alarms using OpenHPI-2.1.4? > Is it like I have to move to newer version of OpenHPI to get the > required information? > > Regards > Naveen S > > -----Original Message----- > From: ext Anton Pak [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2012 4:14 PM > To: [email protected]; Shivegowda, Naveen (NSN - > IN/Bangalore) > Subject: Re: [Openhpi-devel] Reg. diff. between OpenHPI-2.1.4 and > OpenHPI-.3.0.0 > > Hi Naveen, > > 2.1.4 is very old. > May be you installed 2.14.1? > > Anton Pak > > On Tue, 07 Aug 2012 12:34:18 +0300, Shivegowda, Naveen (NSN - > IN/Bangalore) <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Hi >> >> I have installed OpenHPI-2.1.4 and OpenHPI-3.0.0 on 2 HP Blades. >> >> The Blade with OpenHPI-2.1.4 gives the following error when I try to >> retrieve the alarms: >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[11]->RDR[11], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[12]->RDR[12], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[13]->RDR[13], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[14]->RDR[14], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[15]->RDR[15], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[16]->RDR[16], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[17]->RDR[17], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[18]->RDR[18], is not present)" >> 07-08-2012 14:16:53 141-9995 minor "OEM:blr05:: >> openhpid: ERROR: (safhpi.c, 1708, Requested RDR, >> Domain[0]->Resource[18]->RDR[18], is not present)" >> >> But the same errors are not seen on OpenHPI-3.0.0 installed Blade. >> >> I wanted to know whether this was an issue in 2.1.4 version and fixed > in >> 3.0.0 or some configuration issues? >> >> Regards >> Naveen S > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Live Security Virtual Conference > Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and > threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
