I'm not sure that we do. A user of the RDMA CM simply must wait until they receive a connection established event before posting any sends. This is the requirement placed on the RDMA CM user today. The basic problem that this patch solves is if a connection is established, but the RTU is repeatedly lost, the user will get a failed connection attempt for what should have been an active connection.
