Some people on this list have the goal of lowering the barriers to participation into an internet identity ecosystem by as many parties as possible. Having more consistent schemas across more technologies would help with that. (LDAP, anybody? You get my drift ...)

Some people on this list have the goal of creating a business out of bridging non-interoperable islands. Having more schemas that need to be reconciled by a 3rd party would help with that.

Both are legitimate points of view.

Notice that whichever way this discussion goes, the result will favor one of those groups over the other... Looking forward to which way it will go ...
