I'm wary of any single perspective defined as [THE] "correct", we should take multiple perspectives into account here, not deny the rest.
And I think we need to deal with the privacy issue within this perspective.
Can you clarify exactly what it is that you see this perspective as being? The article relates to security, not to privacy.
