I probably know the answer to this but I still wanted to post to the mailing
list and see if there are any options that may be available to me. Basically I
am trying to use the IPMI simulator (lanserv_emu) program to simulate IPMI
devices. I am specifically interested in simulating sensor data and power
control. Does anyone use this program?
My problem is that I get "Unable to obtain SDR reservation" and "Unable to open
SDR for reading" when issuing an 'ipmitool...sdr list' or 'sdr get cputemp'.
Rereading the readme I came across "There is currently not any IPMB sensor
support and many of the commands are not yet implemented...". Does that mean
what I think it means? Any ideas on what it would take to get this working?
Any idea about what aspects of the simulator do work correctly?
Any information/help is greatly appreciated!
