It is not possible for OpenLayers to accurately reproject images on the client side. At the time, due to a lack of understanding of the projection in use by Google, Yahoo, etc. the reproject option was a 'hack' that would 'stretch' the images -- which worked okay for some close stuff, but was still not accurate. > Is there any way we can overlay with google those wms services that don’t > implement web mercator, and only implement WGS84?
