Well for some of our layers we need the ability to turn on/off layers
individually. I have tried to group all of our Base Layers into one group
but the amount of time it takes to load the whole group of layers compared
to each one individually was maybe 1-2 second difference. The rest of our
layers that are not immediately visible I can group into one layer no
problem but the ones loading initially I really did not see any performance
increase when I grouped them.. still took the same amount of time to load
the entire group.
