Hi I have seen that Internet explorer performs really slow when it is added a lot of features. Is this the browser you are using?
In the OL faq it is mention that OL may perform slow when having a lot of features. It suggest something like "find a way of displaying it differently". A few suggestions: 1) Use Cluster strategy: http://openflights.org/blog/2009/10/21/customized-openlayers-cluster-strategies/ 2) Separate the features in more layers and only show the layer that are needed at the moment. 3) Add a listener for the "zoomend" Map event and only show features when it is at certain level.
