Hi Chris, I have the same problem.
Suppose line is OpenLayers.Geometry.LineString type, point is OpenLayers.Geometry.Point type. When I execute "...line.splitWith(point)", the system shows error: ...split is not a function. I am wondering if you have got any solution to this.
