Hmm, my initial thought is to agree with everybody else, mute the system sounds. Though having a look in to the docs, it has this to say: "Severity Levels and the Icon and Pixmap Properties QMessageBox supports four predefined message severity levels, or message types, which really only differ in the predefined icon they each show. "
However windows is obviously picking up on the different types of dialog boxes due to the fact that it plays sounds for some and not others. This also asks the question about aero peek, and backgrounds as well as other system settings such as the top bar in OSX. Personally I think the best way to address this is to do so in the documentation, or a blog post. Install OpenLP mute system sounds turn off areo peek, set black desktop background, turn off automatic updates, yada, yada, yada. ** Changed in: openlp Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenLP Core, which is subscribed to OpenLP. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1507212 Title: Messagebox sounds Status in OpenLP: New Bug description: Please see the link for description. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k7P1_aS24Ch441VX2uoWqXQDLgeDVoEqJfcc-HLeKCI/edit?usp=sharing Short version: Messageboxes trigger system sounds, please mute them.
