Hi all,

As a new release is coming up a lot sooner that originally expected, it also
means that we need to make a decision regarding how we handle our VLC
integration.

Currently we tell users to install VLC manually and this causes problems on
Windows and Mac OS X, where users have trouble installing the correct version
(32-bit on Windows and 64-bit on Mac). This is a real problem for many of our
users!
So to handle this there's a few things we can do:

1. Keep things as they are.
2. Add a text in the "Player" configuration tab that tells the users that they
need XX-bit version of VLC to get it detected
3. Do as above, but do real detection of VLC lib to see if the wrong bit
version of VLC is installed.
4. Bundle VLC with OpenLP
5. ??

Personally I would prefer 2 (IMHO the simplest for us) or 4 (most user
friendly).
Let me know what you think!

Best regards,
Tomas
