I read your post about the legal status.
I'm not expert on this issue, in my opinion before seen extension code:
I think that the extension uses the classes of TYPO3 and the
webservice of openmeetings. In this way, the extension should be
released under GPL license, because it can only work with TYPO3
software (GPL),  but even without Openmeetings, such as another
software with the same webservice interface (not the code).

But I'm not expert.....
