I've tried to install red5-openmeetings_1.0.2760.noarch.deb on several different Debian 5 systems without success. I've set up a clean Debian install to do testing on and limit the number of variables. No Apache, only Java 6, etc. I've found and corrected the problems causing reported errors. The logging output from Red5 is somewhat obscure, but nothing leaps out as an error.
One thing I've noticed is that none of the ports I'd expect to be opened for listen as IPv4, but some ARE open for listening as IPv6 (like 1935, 5088 and 8088) I'm out of ideas about where to look or what diagnostic data to collect. Can anyone help identify a direction to take? netstat -ant Active Internet connections (servers and established) Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:5038 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:2000 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:22 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:5432 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 127.0.0.1:42485 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 127.0.0.1:42483 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 127.0.0.1:42486 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 127.0.0.1:42482 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:3306 127.0.0.1:42484 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 192.168.67.103:22 192.168.67.137:4793 ESTABLISHED tcp6 0 0 :::55496 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::1935 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::9999 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::80 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::22 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::8088 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::5080 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 ::1:5432 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 :::4445 :::* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:42483 127.0.0.1:3306 ESTABLISHED tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:42484 127.0.0.1:3306 ESTABLISHED tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:42486 127.0.0.1:3306 ESTABLISHED tcp6 0 0 127.0.0.1:42482 127.0.0.1:3306 ESTABLISHED -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OpenMeetings User" group.
