I am able to reproduce that issue. It is a bit more effort that has to happen here. Lets have a look at how a tooltip works: Each tooltip registers two Listener to its holding view: onmouseover (tooltip created) onmouseout (tooltip removed) The issue is that the "onmouseout" of a view sometimes is not called (but onmouseover is) This can happen if you for example: - Destroy the parent view of a view that currently has a tooltip active - Create a new instance of an object that is on top of the current UI element that did throw the onmouseover element.
A possible way to resolve the issue would be: Add to all occurrence of issues with missing "onmouseout" events a method to clear all tooltips globally. The problem: There is no generic solution for this. You need to really find all places where an onmouseout event might be missing and then add the method to clear tooltips globally at appropriate locations. You could open a Jira task for it and documentate the places that you have found so far.
