please share your log files for the error 500. I am pretty sure there must
be some kind of exception.

yes this was the intend for the checkbox.
In theory you can copy the folders:
webapps/openmeetings/streams/
webapps/openmeetings/upload/

However when doing that you should use the CLI command to install and
import the backup so that the user Ids are the same.
