Good news: for no discernible reason, my git fetch suddenly worked, so I
have the latest git kernel...
Not-so-good news: ...it's badly broken on the gta01 :( It panics on
shutdown, suspend crashes and requires the battery to be removed to get
the device back. No audio (or too low to hear in my automobile).
There are a lot of changes; hopefully most of them are of the
s/OpenMoko/Openmoko/g variety and I can trim it down to the ones that
matter quickly.
So for the moment anyone who wishes to test a kernel that seems to
behave better on the gta01 wrt suspend/resume can't get it from the
normal places; instead fetch the kernel from http://moko.mwester.net/ .
The image there has the patches listed on bug #79, including the gps
patch, and a new patch that seems to make GSM behave better on resume (I
have to rebase and test that one more before submitting).
I'd love some feedback to see what's working and not from folks on this
mailing list who have a gta01 and a moment of free time -- thanks.
