Thanks Andy for excellent info. I will test this out.

Reason I asked (1) explicitly instead of inferring from (3) is that these would be two separate software paths; e.g. it is possible to manually request 1A charging, but I would expect that (1) would still be false. Another example is that although the resistor is detected, for some other reason Freerunner did not enter 1A charge mode.

Thanks for your rapid answer!

Michael

You can find this from 3 below showing "charger 1A mode 1A"

| 2. Is the Freerunner charging?

#cat /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/chgmode

play-only (not charging, no ext power)

or

fast (charging)

or

enabled (could charge, but decided not to, maybe full)

| 3. If so, what charge mode are we in (100mA, 500mA, or 1A)?

# cat /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/charger_type
host/500mA usb mode 100mA

or

host/500mA usb mode 500mA

or

charger 1A mode 1A

or

none mode suspend
