I'm about ready to start the opennlp.ml rewrite. Since this will be a
significant change with a lot of restructuring, this means starting up a
new repo. Since SVN isn't particularly good with lots of changing of
directories and such, I'm wondering whether the best thing is for me to
just do the major changes using a temporary git repo and then populate the
svn repo with the end product of that. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
Also, while I'm ready to go ahead with this pretty much on my own, please
let me know if you would like to be involved.
In my opinion this work should be done as part of the OpenNLP project
here at Apache and not outside.
We could setup a new project in our sandbox, what do you think?
