Hi Davo,
Let me get more information about your situation. What type of remoting
are you using to connect to the main OpenNMS server? RMI, HTTP, or
HTTPS? In other words, what URI are you configuring for the remote
poller system to connect to the main OpenNMS system?
If you are willing to run code that is slightly more bleeding-edge, you
may also want to upgrade to the current unstable branch (1.13.0). The
remote poller code operates the same way in 1.13 but the error handling
and logging has been greatly improved since 1.12.
