I reviewed the original proposal so I have known exactly how broken
it is ever since then, not just the last months.

You write that unless I fix this situation it will always be there,
so I guess you think it is my responsibility to fix it? I can't
really agree with that since I pointed out these problems *before*
the code was included.

The fact that the code got included even though the problems had
already been mentioned means that really noone else cares about
them.

That's why I personally believe that they will not be fixed by
someone else. Of course I hope I'm wrong on that, but I have no
expectations.

I hope you understand that I may not be so motivated to fix a problem
which was created by someone else when I already spent a lot of time
on review in order to avoid the problem in the first place.
