The answer from Øyvind Harboe is as followed.
"We don't plan features for releases, we release what's committed to
the master branch at the time of release.

Whether or not a feature makes it for a release is purely a matter of
whether the community was able to get it to master branch or not."

That being said, I think we both agree that it will be great to
have the mpsse patch in release 0.6.0.
