Hi Hsiangkai,
After gdb modifications review, please come with the architecture debug
support. Important, you have to make sure your architecture debug
session is WORKING with the actual popular usb jtag dongles .
(If you need an Amontec JTAGkey-2 sample to check this, please let me know).
Then, you may comes with your ice box.

Laurent

Dear all,
I am an engineer from Andes Technology in Taiwan.
I want to introduce andes architecture and our ice box, AICE, to OpenOCD.
I am sorry for sending a lot of patches to introduce andes
architecture into
OpenOCD without discussion with you first. At first, I think the bug fix
history is important. So, I send all commits on my local site.
However, the
bug fix history may not be so important as introducing a new
architecture to
OpenOCD. If no other suggestions, I will abandon all andes/aice-related
commits on the review branch. After I collect all changes into two
commits,
I will commit them again.
Basically, I will split all changes into two commits. One is for andes
architecture (v3/v3m) and another is for AICE interface. Is there any
suggestions to introduce andes architecture to OpenOCD?
In addition, andes architecture source code depends on some general code
modifications. I already send some gdb_server modifications to review.
#1092 => add stop reason in stop replay packet
#1093 => improve 'g' packet performance (I think #1089 is better than me.)
#1094 => target description (I agree Andreas's comments. I will think
about it.)
#1102 => File-I/O remote protocol extension
#1242 => add new debug reason for "exit program"
I think I should wait these modifications being confirmed (accepted or
rejected),
then send andes architecture code.
About test, I could help to review and test andes architecture
commits. My
company has a software QA team. They could help me to do more
complete tests.
There are some reports about Andes on EE Times:
I post the first link on google search result.

Thanks for your attention.
