If I had a windows box handy, I'd prove that's quite easy to fix.

Sorry folks for such a lengthy and useless discussion, especially
given none of the Windows users seem to care. I'll just refer everyone
asking me about using OpenOCD with USB devices on windows to this
thread from now on.
