Do not think it is that incorrect, Ok HIDAPI is a lib not a wrapper.

I just mentioned libusb-1.0 as that is the back-end I have dome all my 
tests with. But for info under linux you can also use the hidraw driver.

I guess that the problem with writing quick replies. the info is in my 
brain - I just sometimes fail to export it correctly :)
