Hello list. First of all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. If it weren't, I'd appreciate if you could tell me where to ask. I'm also a bit new to JTAG and openOCD.
So, the problem I'm having is that I'm getting a lot of: "Polling target lpc1788.cpu failed, GDB will be halted. Polling again in 6300ms" And I can no longer upload programs nor reset/halt the cpu. In fact all commands fail because of a: "Timeout (1000ms) waiting for ACK=OK/FAULT in JTAG-DP transaction - aborting" I used to be able to upload programs without any trouble a few days ago, so it doesn't seem to be a configuration problem. I'm starting to think that I uploaded a program that overwrote the internal bootloader or something (if that's even possible). As I said, I'm flashing a LPC1788, and I'm using Olimex's ARM-USB-TINY-H (https://www.olimex.com/Products/ARM/JTAG/ARM-USB-TINY-H/) with openOCD from debian. I tried without success to press the reset button, then "reset halt" in openocd and release the reset button as stated somewhere in the chibiOS forums (although I'm uploading my own programs and not chibiOS). Any ideas on how to fix this? Is it possible to brick a uC using JTAG? If so, how do I reprogram it?? Thank you very much in advance.
