Actually, I think it hurts; it skips 0.2.0 in favor of SVN.  
An important point of regular releases is to get users off of the
repository and using releases.  Packagers are the first place that
should start.  Which patches did you really need, which were committed
between r2523 and r2529?  I am dazed and confused that you chose to skip
the stable release entirely.

If 0.2.0 was not good enough, then please provide the list of things
that you want addressed in 0.2.1.  I prefer that packagers like yourself
stop producing releases from SVN entirely; instead, the community should
produce releases that address any packaging problems.
