Uhm, ok then if it was like this. Anyway "init" for the interface or transport that does not do "init" but verify/interrogate/start sounds strange for me anyway. "open" and "init" sounds better :-) Maybe "init" and "start" would be even more unabiguous? But thats for future.. :-)
