#### {1} Editor's Notes ####
############################
Happy 2018, everyone!
The open organization community couldn't have kicked off the year much
more strongly. We published 10 new articles this month, and,
collectively, all our excellent materials generated 17,788 page views.
But on top of that, we:
* Hosted an #OpenOrgChat event on Twitter,
* Welcomed a new Open Organization Ambassador (Jonas Rosland, manager of
Dell's {code} community), and
* Released another paperback book in the _Open Organization_ series
If that's what January had in store, can you imagine how exciting the
rest of 2018 will be? Read on to see what the ambassadors are up to!
Being part of the journey is a privilege. Thanks very much for it.
Sincerely,
Bryan

#### {5} Looking Ahead ####

The next Open Organization Ambassadors meeting will occur on Thursday,
February 8 at 10:00 Eastern (15:00 UTC). A meeting agenda is taking
shape [1]. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Ambassadors are currently assessing the role "trust" plays in The Open
Organization Definition. Ambassador Jen Kelchner and her LDR21
co-founder MaryJo Burchard have constructed a helpful brief for anyone
looking to learn more about what's motivating this discussion—and where
it might lead us [2]. We'll be taking up this topic as a matter of
priority on the above-mentioned February 8 community call.

Jen Kelchner writes:
"On February 7, dragonfli—a human agility suite—launches its beta
version. LDR21 offers the only prescriptive solution to benchmark,
track, and build a company's level of openness and adaptability in
highly disruptive environments. We have built tools that assess,
measure, and track the agility of people and environment based on the
values of openness, trust, and adaptability to help organizations
minimize the impact of culture change."

{Catch you in February!—BB}
