Hi folks, I'm writing with details about two upcoming opportunities that I think folks in our community can seize.
Chad Sansing of Mozilla's Open Leadership Team wrote me to make sure our community was aware that the call for proposals for the 2018 Mozfest conference in London is open now: https://mozillafestival.org/proposals This conference represents a great opportunity to connect with and engage other open-minded, culture-focused advocates in a rich and educational dialog. Interested ambassadors and other community members should most definitely review the list of "spaces" (i.e., the conference tracks) and pitch their interactive panels and workshops (see in particular the track on "Openness"!): https://mozillafestival.org/spaces Additionally, Chad writes that Mozilla has recently opened applications for its Open Leaders program, details of which are available here: https://foundation.mozilla.org/opportunity/mozilla-open-leaders/ Chad underscores the organizers' fresh focus on open culture with a new "culture track," to which I believe anyone in our community would find valuable. I am happy to assist anyone interested in putting something together for Mozfest or the Open Leaders program. I can also put you in touch with Chad if you have additional questions.
