Welcome to 2018's penultimate Open Organization Ambassadors Report!
November was a busy month for us. The open organization community
published 4 new articles at Opensource.com in November—and half of them
came directly from ambassadors.
Readership also trended upward in November. Overall, our materials
generated 16,607 page views (compared to 14,660 in October and 13,824 in
September). Additionally, open organization-themed books received 286
downloads.
This month also marked the final sprint toward publication of The Open
Organization Leaders Manual, Second Edition, which is set for release on
December 11. Despite that flurry of activity, however, several
ambassadors pitched sessions for the forthcoming Red Hat Summit.
Read on to learn more about what this awesome community accomplished in
November.
Sincerely,
Bryan

The community-produced, second edition of _The Open Organization Leaders
Manual_ is nearing completion [1]. In November, writers finalized their
contributions and copy editors polished the book for publication.
Featuring 24 total chapters from 20 unique authors, the book weighs in
at 200 pages and will launch December 11, 2018.

Many members of the Open Organization Ambassadors community pitched
programming for the 2019 Red Hat Summit [2]. They proposed sessions on
topics such as: open organization maturity, open leadership, open
principles in inter-generational workplaces, case studies in project
visualization, open approaches to project management, collaborating
remotely, and more. Congratulations to everyone on making such a strong
showing!

#### {5} Looking Ahead ####
###########################
Our second edition of The Open Organization Leaders Manual is scheduled
for release on December 11! We're moving toward that date at full speed,
and we anticipate a friction-free launch. Anyone wishing to help promote
this community-produced volume should watch for sample social media
materials from Bryan on our mailing list—and for official announcements
on Opensource.com. It's going to be a big launch, folks!

The next meeting of the Open Organization Ambassadors—the final meeting
of 2018—will occur December 13, 2018 at 09:00 Eastern / 13:00 UTC. We'd
love to see you one more time before the holidays (and 2019!) are upon
us. Please log any items for community discussion in the usual place [1].

Michael Doyle writes:
"I'm developing an idea for a stream of content next year that I'll
share in due course. My wife instructed me to take this week off, so
technically I shouldn't even be submitting this report. Oops, my bad ;-)"

Jen Kelchner writes:
"I was asked to speak at a Global Workplace Forum in Manila in June 2019
to an audience of C-Suite, Government Leaders and others from 144
countries on innovation and workplace transformation. I will be speaking
on the values of open to create change."
