### Editor's Note ###

Good morning, afternoon, and evening, friends around the world!

Today we've published new writing from MaryJo Burchard, who (with a
little help from Diary of a Wimpy Kid) explains how "open secrets" can
blossom and take hold in our open organizations. It's the first piece in
a two-part series on the subject of open secrets; on Thursday,
ambassador Laura Hilliger will explain several reasons why your
organization might be the site of uncomfortable, seemingly
unapproachable secrets—and how you can confront them.

Stay tuned!
