I was wondering how is asterisk involved in this list ... Maybe you were trying to send an email to Steve, whose email is in his package and on his website too ? I guess another reason could probably be that you wanted someone to say: "Use openpbx because fax works (and the rest of the PBX too)" ?? So your answer is: yes, you should should try to use openpbx.
