All, I have RxFax working almost flawlessly with OpenPBX RC3/SpanDSP 0.0.3-pre27 which is great. My mileage varies though when using TxFax. We have Cisco 5350/5400 gateways acting as T.38 gateways out to the PSTN. For some fax machines (Brother 2850, 3550) - I see T.38 negotiation a couple of seconds into the call and the fax gets through no problem. However, we have another fax machine and UM platform that do not detect fax tone and see the call as a Voice call?
I am wondering if there is anything I can tweak in SpanDSP/OpenPBX to help with Fax Tone detection? I have followed all the usual steps (G711, inband DTMF, udptl enabled etc.). I tried SpanDSP 0.0.3-pre28 and this causes OpenPBX to Seg Fault? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
