No voting is necessary, but we need:

  1) A documenter to write the new standard and change a single package
  2) A reviewer to ensure accordance with OpenPKG methodology
  3) A volunteer to integrate the standard into lint logic
  4) A volunteer to do all the .spec modifications

If nobody is willing to review (2), then posting a diff to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
is good enough. If nobody is willing to do the many modifications (4), then
either the topic goes on the backburner or we accept a half solution. If
nobody is willing to start (1), then the topic goes on the backburner.

...or we use a totally other model should someone have a better idea.

Architectural changes like this one are not allowed without Ralf's approval
of course. Due to his somewhat escalated workload right now he will probably
only be able to say 'okay' or 'not okay' at or shortly after review. Ralf,
please object if I've gotten that wrong.

Matthias if you would like to volunteer for (1), then one possible first
step would be forming a standard based on any agreements reached in this
email thread. Whatever lacks agreement you choose yourself (fast) or propose
to the list (slow but more reliable).

Regards,
Michael
